The routine
- Batch each client’s next two to four weeks.
- Date and time every post in the client’s calendar, in their timezone.
- Turn on Auto-post for that client in Ninecast, once their batch is approved.
- Check once a day that everything went out, instead of posting by hand.
Scheduling is what lets a social media manager have a weekend.
Step by step for each platform: Instagram, TikTok, or every platform from one database.
Questions that follow
How can I schedule posts for clients so I don't have to be online at 7am to post?
Plan and finish posts in advance, then schedule them with a tool that publishes automatically. Meta Business Suite covers Meta’s own apps, Buffer and Metricool cover more networks, and if you plan in Notion or Airtable, Ninecast posts each row from the calendar itself at its date and time, so nothing is copied into a scheduler.
Can scheduled Instagram posts publish automatically?
Yes, for Business and Creator accounts. Feed posts, carousels and Reels can publish automatically through Instagram’s official publishing API.
What timezone do scheduled posts use?
With Ninecast, the planner’s timezone, so a client in another country gets posts at their 7am, not yours. A date with no time posts at the planner’s default time.
What if a scheduled post fails?
A good scheduler tells you before the post is due when something will be refused, such as a caption over the limit or a file in the wrong format, rather than failing silently at 7am.
How far ahead should I schedule?
Two to four weeks is comfortable for most clients: far enough to stop daily pressure, close enough to change for news and launches.
